Indirect Fired

An indirect fired water heater is another solution to consider for supplying hot water for your home.

The water is heated by a separate heating source such as a boiler or an existing furnace. The heated water is made from the heat source of the furnace then stored in an insulated tank that circulates the hot water until needed. The water is not heated directly but uses a main boiler to heat up the liquid and circulates it through the heat exchanger installed in the storage tank. Due to the installation of an additional storage tank they allow the main heat source to turn off and thus work efficiently throughout the year. Water can be heated in these systems through using gas, oil, propane, electric, solar energy or a combination of any or all of these.

An indirect fired water heater has a longer life expectancy when compared to a water heater and has excellent recovery rates. It is more efficient than a conventional water heater and is maintenance free.

Tankless
